We have a proven track record of successfully challenging public engagement through the delivery of immersive meaningful experiences and innovative design practices, on and offline. We work and collaborate with a host of amazing humans to make this all happen. When new positions open at The Trailblazery, we will post them below.

Marketing Specialist

(Part-time role at The Trailblazery)

We’re seeking a self-led, dynamic and experienced Marketing Specialist to shape and drive our communications and messaging across all digital platforms. We’re looking for someone who understands how to grow an online business, nurture audiences, and communicate compellingly across diverse formats and platforms — while remaining aligned with our mission and values. This role is ideal for someone who brings both innovation and execution to the table: a creative thinker who can plan and implement online advertising campaigns, grow our online presence, and take the lead on content that drives engagement, visibility, and programme sales.

Who you are

  • An innovative thinker with strong hands-on skills in online business communications and digital marketing.

  • Experienced in growing online communities and email lists for purpose-led organisations and online businesses.

  • A clear, creative communicator with an intuitive feel for tone, language, and storytelling who can repurpose source copy for various audiences & platforms.

  • Technically competent and fluent with digital tools, email platforms, and social channels.

  • Data-savvy — you know how to read insights and adjust strategies accordingly.

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and highly organised — able to lead rather than be led.

  • Deeply aligned with The Trailblazery’s ethos, voice and cultural mission.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Growth:

  • Collaborate to implement our digital communications and marketing strategy across platforms.

  • Design and manage campaigns to support audience growth, email list-building, programme launches and community engagement.

  • Create and maintain a marketing calendar that aligns with key projects, events, and sales goals annually.

  • Identify communication gaps, missed opportunities, and areas for growth — and propose clear, creative solutions.

Content coordination:

  • Refine all communications copy: emails, newsletters, sales pages, social media posts, ads, press releases, bios, etc.

  • Repurpose existing content into different formats (e.g. social posts, short-form video, email series).

  • Collaborate with the CEO and team on brand voice development and messaging.

  • Recommend and develop new content formats and assets (e.g. reels, carousels, email series, blog posts) that align with brand goals and audience needs.

Digital Platforms & Tools:

  • Advise on best practice for websites, sales pages, landing pages and SEO.

  • Coordinate the creation of visual assets using Canva (or brief designers when needed).

  • Maintain awareness of our archive of Vimeo, YouTube, and Zoom recordings, identifying opportunities to repurpose existing content within new communications and marketing plans.

Engagement & Analytics:

  • Track and report on campaign performance across channels (email, social, website).

  • Final analysis of performance, goals and learnings for post launch debrief with the team.

  • Use insights to optimise future content, timing, and strategy.

Administrative & Systems:

  • Maintain organised documentation, links, and digital asset libraries.

  • Work with the team to align comms with company deadlines and deliverables.

  • Ensure brand consistency across platforms and content types.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in digital marketing, communications, and content strategy.

  • Strong writing and editing skills; ability to write across tones and audiences.

  • Experience with AI and Automations.

  • Experience with email marketing (Kajabi preferred but not essential).

  • Expert knowledge of Facebook Ads, Google Ads and creating top, middle and bottom of funnel ad sets within these platforms

  • Comfortable managing websites (Squarespace), social scheduling tools (Later), and design tools (Canva).

  • Familiar with tools like GSuite, Zoom, YouTube, Vimeo.

  • Knowledge of Asana, Clockify or similar tools is a plus.

  • You are excited about the latest developments in the world of online business.

  • Ideally you have taken part in James Wedmore’s Business by Design course.

This is a remote, freelance (approx. 10 hours/week to start), with flexibility around when you work, as long as key deadlines are met. You’ll be working  closely with a small dedicated core team who value clarity, creativity and collaboration.

    Remuneration: Commensurate with experience.

If this sounds like you, please send your resume and a 1 page cover letter & a short video presentation on why you’re the right person for this role to hello@thetrailblazery.com
